SEMINAR WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF LEADERS OF TRADE UNIONS OF THE CENTRAL ASIAN STATES

     On May 13-15 of this year, a seminar was held in the hall of the Training Center of the National Bank of Tajikistan in the city of Gulistan with the participation of representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republics of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, as well as workers from transnational enterprises.

   During the seminar, speeches were made by the senior specialist of the Office of the International Labor Organization in Eastern Europe and Central Asia - Gocha Alexandria, the head of the department of the UNI World Union - Gidre Lelite, the first deputy chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan - Faizizoda Ismail Narzi and the head of the department of public relations and international relations of the Federation - Yunusov Jamshed Sobirovich.

   Also, the chairman of the trade union council of the Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Fayzieva Sayyora, the head of the labor protection department of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan - Gaibnazarova Nodira Bakhodirzhanovna and the head of the trade union of workers of medium and small industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan "YNTYMAQ" - Shaimov Tolegen Menseitovich spoke on issues of transnational enterprises and labor rights in Central Asia - trade union strategies to address the challenges of decent work in the supply chain, cross-border cooperation.

      At this seminar, participants in working groups exchanged experiences with each other.

  In conclusion, the Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of  Tajikistan, Nematzoda Maliksho, and the Head of the International Labor Organization for Europe and Central Asia, Sergius Glovackas, expressed their opinion on the goals of the seminar and concluded the seminar.
